Terms of Service

By accessing or using NoticeInbox ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including firms on a free trial.

NoticeInbox is a deadline-tracking and reminder tool for CPA firms. It allows users to forward IRS and state tax notices to a private inbox, where an AI classifier extracts the notice type and response deadline. All AI-extracted deadlines require manual confirmation by a human user before becoming active.

NoticeInbox is not a tax-compliance service, legal advisor, or e-filing platform. It does not submit documents to the IRS or any government agency on your behalf and makes no guarantee that extracted deadlines are correct. You remain the professional of record and are solely responsible for verifying all deadlines and filing obligations.

You must register with accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@noticeinbox.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Forward emails that do not belong to your firm or clients.
• Use the Service to submit information to the IRS or any government agency.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI classification system.
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written permission.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including data-protection regulations.

Billing is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing, VAT, and applicable sales taxes. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

Founding Member pricing is locked permanently for subscribers who purchase before the first 50 spots are filled, provided the subscription remains active. Price locks lapse if a subscription expires and is later re-activated.

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to the Service. No payment information is required during the trial. At the end of the trial period, the account is downgraded to a read-only view unless a subscription is purchased.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference. In summary: we strip personally identifiable information before sending any notice text to the AI classifier, we do not store raw email bodies in plain text, and we enforce row-level data isolation between firms at the database level.

The Service, including its design, software, and content, is owned by NoticeInbox and protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership of any notice documents you upload or forward. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI DEADLINE EXTRACTIONS ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL DEADLINES WITH PRIMARY SOURCE DOCUMENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOTICEINBOX'S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING MISSED DEADLINES OR TAX PENALTIES.

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law, with reasonable notice where practicable. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting hello@noticeinbox.com. On termination, your data is retained for 30 days then deleted unless a longer period is required by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
